There are three reasons why we invaded Iraq:
1. Every credible intelligence agency believed Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and Saddam had used WMDs in the past. UN inspection report raised concerns that he was hiding WMDs.
2. Saddam had connections with Al Qaeda, supported and funded Al Qaeda operations and provided a safe haven for the terrorist organization.
3. Every possible human right was denied to Iraqi citizens under Saddam, Saddam posed a threat of genocide to minorities.
So if you do not support the invasion of Iraq than you must like the idea of a rogue regime with weapons capable of killing millions, the ability to export those weapons to terrorist organization who have a desire to use such weapons, and the killing and torturing of innocent civilians. Do the surrender democrats really support this? You would not think so, you would not like to think so, but their actions say yes.
At any rate this should not be the debate now, whether we should or should not have invaded Iraq is a ridiculous debate, we might as well debate whether we should have started the war for American Independence. The debate is what to do now, we can all agree that things in Iraq are not going as well as they could be, does this mean we have to leave?
One of the largest differences between liberals and conservatives can be seen here. We are faced with adversity in Iraq and the first inclination of the democrats is to leave, to give up, to admit defeat. The conservatives wish to push through to gain victory. That is the aim, and should be the only aim, of war.
Democrats ramble on asking why we didn’t have a “plan B” and why we aren’t leaving Iraq because things are not going exactly has planned. In war there is no “plan B” there is victory and there is defeat, nothing in between. We had no “plan B” in the Revolutionary war, we had no “plan B” in the civil war, we had no “plan B” in World War 2. There are only two options. Which option do you wish to support?
We lost twice the amount of troops at Iwo Jima in one month than we have in Iraq. Yet the stupidest generation of Pelosi and Reid can’t handle it. They are not making a sacrifice, and they wish to undermine those who are. They put the lives of our troops at risk. That is not questioning their patriotism I’m sure they think they are very patriotic and they think they are doing the best for the country. It is simply stating fact. When Harry Reid says we lost war, that can be played over and over again by AQ propaganda.
Osama bin Laden said when people see a strong horse and a weak horse the always go to the strong horse, a strong horse never says we lost the war.
The American fighting men and women have always done and always will do what appears to be impossible. If the given the time the ask for and given the support they need, they will once again lead us to victory. Never has the American military met a mission it can’t accomplish, only recently has the stupidest generation forced failure upon them.
The surge in Iraq is working, for some reason this scares the socks off the stupidest generation. I suppose they like genocide, want to see evil succeed, and don’t give a hoot for anyone but themselves. They are trying harder than ever to once again encourage mass killing in a faraway place. I leave you with these two quotes:
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." - John Stuart Mill
"Courage and perseverance have a magical talisman, before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into air." - John Quincy Adams
